How Excellence Coral Structures Wedding Packages
Understanding the system helps you make better decisions from the start.
Excellence Coral offers two main wedding packages:
- Lovebirds Package – The complimentary baseline package
- Everlasting Memories Package – The upgraded premium package
The Lovebirds Package: Complimentary Baseline Excellence
Unlocked with: 20 paid room nights
Ceremony Essentials
- Ceremony location of your choice (beach, terrace, or garden)
- Basic Chairs for ceremony guests
- Floral bridal bouquet and matching boutonniere
- Professional ceremony coordination (not just day-of—actual planning support)
- Non-denominational minister for symbolic ceremonies
- Audio system for vows and music (30 minutes)
Reception Elements
- One-tier wedding cake for 32 guests
- Sparkling wine toast for everyone after the ceremony
- Romantic dinner for the wedding couple at one of the restaurants
- Wedding night turndown service
Who This Works For:
Couples having intimate celebrations under 20 guests who want a beautiful ceremony setup without paying thousands upfront. If you’re planning a small wedding or elopement with close family and prefer investing budget in photography or honeymoon experiences, this package delivers genuine value.
What’s NOT Included:
- A reception dinner for your guests
- DJ or live music
- Upgraded florals beyond bouquet/boutonniere
- Professional photography or videography
- Cocktail hour setup
- Dance floor
- Uplighting or special décor
Essentially, you get the ceremony and cake. Everything else requires upgrades.
The Everlasting Memories Package: The Sweet Spot
This is where Excellence Coral weddings actually shine. Most of my couples choose this package because it includes the elements that transform a ceremony into a celebration.
Wedding Ceremony
- Sound System 30 minutes
- Standard Decor (ceremony)
- Refreshment Station
- Bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonnière (themed to match)
- Bride’s hairstyling for the ceremony
- Bride’s makeup application for the ceremony
- 15 minute video of the ceremony
- 20 digital full-color photos of the ceremony
Cocktail Hour
• 1-hour cocktail party with hors d’oeuvres and an open bar
• Romantic or Caribbean music trio for the cocktail hour (45 min)
Wedding Reception
• 4-hour private dinner with a standard white set-up and an open bar
• Sparkling wine during dinner for the main toast
• Wedding cake
Wedding Accommodations
• Special turndown service for the wedding couple on the wedding night
• Late check-out for the wedding couple (based on availability and upon request)
Additional Costs to Actually Expect
Even with complimentary packages, most couples spend on these upgrades:
Guest Count Overages
The Everlasting Memories package is good for 20 guests. Anything over that total will be $75USD per person.
It’s important to note– that the DJ often has an additional fee when guest count is over 20. Since this is contracted out by Excellence, they don’t control the DJ’s fee, and it sometimes catches people off guard.
Photography & Video
- Resort photographer: $1,200-$2,500 for basic coverage
- Outside photographer: $2,500-$5,000 (plus vendor fees)
- Videography: Add $1,500-$3,500
Excellence allows outside photographers with vendor fees. Most couples prefer bringing their own since resort photographers are competent but not exceptional.
Décor Upgrades
Excellence will offer you the option to work with their preferred supplier for your upgraded decor. After you’re booked, you will setup a meeting with them (Zoom) and share some of your Pinterest ideas to get a general idea on cost.

The Reception Reality Check
The Lovebirds package gives you a beautiful ceremony and cake. That’s it. No dinner. No cocktail hour. No reception celebration.
Unless you’re planning a ceremony-only event or having a full reception back home, you’ll want to feed your guests who just traveled to Mexico for your wedding. The Everlasting Memories package includes a 3-hour private dinner reception with four-course plated service and premium bar—which is the entire point of having a destination wedding celebration.
Unlike the Lovebirds package, Everlasting Memories always has a cost—you cannot unlock it through room nights.
However, Excellence offers reduced pricing for Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday weddings. If your schedule allows mid-week flexibility, you’ll save $1,500 on the package.
How Excellence's Promo Code System Works
Excellence Coral doesn’t do traditional room blocks—they use a promo code system that’s actually simpler for everyone involved.
Here’s how it works:
Your travel agent creates a custom group promo code for your wedding. Guests use this code when booking, which:
- Locks in group rates (usually better than booking direct)
- Tracks all reservations automatically toward your wedding perks
- Gives guests flexibility to book when they’re ready (no deposits held on your behalf)
- Allows guests to book online or through your travel agent
Why this matters: Unlike traditional room blocks with contracts and attrition penalties, Excellence’s system eliminates the stress of guaranteeing a minimum number of rooms. Guests book at their own pace, and you simply accumulate perks as reservations come in.
Potential perks based on total room nights:
- Complimentary welcome party (cocktails and appetizers for your group)
- Free room upgrades for the wedding couple
- Complimentary suite upgrade for parents or VIP guests
- Rehearsal private dinner for 40 guests (up to two hours)
- Rehearsal beach party (up to three hours) for up to 40 guests
- Return stay certificate (3 nights)
