Spring Break 2027, we’re doing this. My family is heading to AVA Resort Cancun, and if you’re reading this, you’re invited to join us.

The Riviera Maya is my favorite corner of the world—the place I send my most discerning clients, the destination I rave about at every dinner party, the beaches I dream about during Michigan winters. And now I get to share it with the people I actually want to vacation with: you.

Why AVA? Because I’ve toured dozens of properties, and AVA hits that sweet spot of family-friendly luxury without the stuffy resort vibe. Six pools for us to explore, that incredible 2.8-acre Crystal Lagoon for endless water time, and just 10 minutes from the airport, so we can skip the long transfer and get straight to vacation mode.

Picture this: our families lounging by the lagoon while the kids make new friends, evening dinners where we actually get to catch up, and those spontaneous “remember when” moments that only happen when you travel with your favorite people.

Accommodations

We are not holding a room block.

Any rooms currently available will be eligible to book within our group.

There are several different room categories at Ava for families of different sizes. Suites are also available here, as well as rooms with kids’ beds.

Every room at Ava is oceanfront- meaning you won’t have to upgrade for a great view.

This is an all-inclusive, family-friendly resort 10 minutes from the Cancun International Airport (CUN).

Trip Deposit & Payment Schedule

A $200 deposit will be due at the time of booking.

A credit card will go on file with Ava and the remaining balance will be automatically charged 45 days before check-in.

Monthly payments are possible, as long as the resevation is paid in full on time.

No final payment extensions are available.

Dining Reservations

You can easily manage your dinner reservations 15 days before your arrival through our AVA app.

Once at the resort, you can also make reservations by dialing Ext. 5016 from your room, our team will be happy to assist you.

AVA Resort Cancun offers experiences thoughtfully designed for every stage of life.

AVA Kids (ages 4 to 10): a space dedicated to creativity, play, and imagination.

The Lounge (ages 11 to 17): a modern, sophisticated environment designed for teen social interaction.

Included in Price

AVA Resort Cancun is a place beyond reality. It offers VIP treatment and an All-Inclusive experience, which means everything from in-room top-shelf drinks to nightly entertainment, a kids’ club, and fine dining is included in your stay.

AVA Resort Cancun offers a selection of exclusive services available at an additional cost, including treatments at The Spa at AVA, private tours and personalized experiences, premium wines and specialty cuts, as well as babysitting services outside AVA Kids’ operating hours.

You can also enjoy our boutiques and the entertainment center, featuring Forza, The Alley Bowling, Laser Tag, Escapology, and Game Hub.

Flights, excursions, travel protection, and tips are not included.

Cancellation Policy

Nobody wants to think about cancelling.

Whether your reservation was refundable or nonrefundable depends on your cancellation policy, described in your confirmation letter.

Ground Transportation

Becky will help coordinate your ride from the Cancun International airport to AVA Resort Cancun. You will submit your flight details to her once the trip is closer. Transfers can be shared or private for your family.

Accessibility & Disability

Since the resort is not located in the United States, the hotel is not required to comply with the U.S. Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

We offer complimentary wheelchairs based on availability. If you require a motorized scooter, please contact the Concierge by sending an email to prearrivalconcierge@avacancun.com with 48 hours notice to allow for delivery. Charges will apply.

Room Reservation FAQ’s

Can I request to be near another room?

Of course! Please keep in mind, though, it will be request only. AVA Resort Cancun is a large property, and there are no guarantees.

Can I make payments on my room?

Yes! AVA Cancun will require a $200 deposit and a credit card on file. 45 days before you check-in, your card will be automatically charged for the remaining balance.

You will be able to make payments on the account if you prefer.

Can I see a map of the resort?

There are 2 wings to the resort. South Wing (Ala Sur) and the North Wing (Ala Norte).

Can I bundle in my flights?

Becky does not handle flights, even when bundled. You’re almost always best served to book your flights seperate from your room. If there is an issue at the airport- you want the airline employees to be able to assist you. Waiting on a third-party to help could result in even more delays.

For Teens

The Lounge. Ages 13-17 only, aka, no little kids, no parents—with basketball, ping pong, AR gaming, foosball, pool table, snack bar, and more. A space to recharge, meet up, or just get away for a while.

For Kids

AVA KIDS. A dedicated kids club for endless exploration and fun— the wonder of nature, arts & crafts, customs, city games, trampolines, inside slides, a library, movie theater and a beauty salon.
