Like the rest of the Finest brand, Finest Riviera Cancun is an all-inclusive resort for all ages — but this property leans further into that with an expanded lineup of family suite and imperial suite categories. If your guest list includes grandparents, cousins, and little ones running around at the reception, this resort is built to host all of it comfortably.
That makes it a great fit for couples planning a true multi-generational celebration — big family group, kids included, everyone under one roof.
Where It’s Located
Finest Riviera Cancun sits just south of Puerto Morelos, about 15 miles (roughly 25 minutes) from Cancun International Airport. That’s an easy transfer for your guests, and it puts you close to cenotes, the Grand Outlet Riviera Maya, and the rest of the Riviera Maya corridor if you’re planning pre- or post-wedding excursions.

A few things worth noting as you’re picturing your day: the Beach is your highest-capacity ceremony option and doubles as a strong cocktail hour space — a classic, expansive stretch of white sand built for a big “start your happily ever after” moment. The Seaside Gazebo leans quieter and more romantic, right at the water’s edge with the sound of the waves as your backdrop — a natural fit if intimate is the goal. The Sky Terrace trades sand for elevation, with open-air luxury and ocean breezes up top — it’s the pick if you want a panoramic, “extraordinary moment” feel rather than a straight beachfront ceremony.
For reception, the Caribbean Ballroom and Riviera Ballroom are both described as expansive indoor venues built for enchanting receptions, each holding up to 120 guests — a smart backup if you’re marrying outside of peak dry season and want AC built into the plan. Dunas Beach House is the smaller, more intimate reception space at 60 guests, set in an elegant oceanfront spot overlooking the Caribbean — ideal if your wedding is on the cozier side and you’d rather the room feel full than oversized.

What We Expect to Carry Over From the Rest of the Finest Brand
Finest Riviera Cancun is brand new, which means some of the day-to-day planning realities — communication turnaround, venue assignment timing, in-house vendor markups — haven’t been fully tested yet. But based on how Finest operates across its other properties, here’s what I expect to hold true:
Your specialist needs to be written into your contract before you book. Across the Finest brand, adding a travel agent or wedding specialist after you’ve signed directly with the resort is difficult — sometimes impossible. Find your person first. Then book.
In-house florals and photography likely come with a markup. At Finest Playa Mujeres, bringing in outside vendors — even after paying the vendor fee — consistently saves couples money and delivers a more personalized result. I expect the same economics to hold here, and I’ll be watching closely as this resort opens to confirm which outside vendors are approved.
Venue assignment may not be locked in early. Other Finest properties don’t confirm your specific venue until roughly six months out. If you have a non-negotiable — the Beach, the Sky Terrace — plan to advocate for it early and often.
